Uber Problems- Executives.. Culture… and Transition
“Corporate culture starts at the top”… Despite volumes of anecdotal evidence and behavioral science studies proving the truth of this age-old adage, American business executives continue to add new chapters re-proving the veracity and usefulness of the saying on a daily basis. When change in executive leadership becomes necessary, not only is swiftness of action important, the context for and framework of the transition must be thoroughly thought out and documented through contractual arrangements with the departing executive; then notice of the forthcoming changes in leadership and culture must be effectively communicated to the company’s work force. Failure to do both will enable existing problems to fester and continue to expose the company to future litigation risks.
